We chose this cruise as a short getaway during Spring Break. Everything was simply beyond expectations. This was my 5th and best cruise yet. The ship overall was in excellent condition, clean, and sported a friendly atmosphere. The cabin exceed our expectations. We signed up for a TBD cabin as it was the cheapest option when we booked the cruise and we really do not care what our cabin is since we don't spend much time there. We were very pleasantly surprised!! We ended up assigned to 1202. It is an interior cabin on deck one, but it was huge! If you look at the deck plan, you can see it was an odd shaped room compared to a standard interior. I've stayed in a junior sweet and interior rooms and this was the largest cabin I have been in. We absolutely loved it! The location at a dead-end, kept it very quite from outside traffic in the hallway. We heard some hull noises maybe called by water hitting the hull, but only once or twice and it was not intrusive. No vibrations, no engine noises, just nice and quite. Dining options were excellent and we did not eat in the same place twice over the three days. The entertainment was amazing. Nono, the Cruise Director, was the best of my cruising experience. She was friendly, high energy, helpful and funny. The crowd was younger with many college and younger kids. But everyone was friendly, well mannered and fun! The shows were amazing! We partied like rock stars! We didn't do an excursion in Nassau. We just walked to the public beach, relaxed, shopped, and casually strolled around. Read Less

Great to be with an older girls cruise for the long weekend. Friendly service. Food so-so and always only mildly warmed in dining room. Bread very hard. As for entertainment, the dance shows were LOUD electric music with flashing lights. Singers going to the top of voice range which means I had to put hands over ears. Nice costumes and movement around stage. Avoid Kirk as a comedian. Saying the best part for last was the newly appointed cruise director——Chris. So full of life! Makes everything he does so fun Whether it is Harry Potter trivia or atrium music. Awesome!!!! This was his first cruise director position and he was ready for it. He had an accessory for each event he was doing. He was entertaining just to talk to. Boring destinations but only ones if leaving from Jacksonville. Parking easy, Embarked within 30 minutes. Could have been sooner if Elation could figure how to disembark. Total headache. Easy walkoff took until 10:00. Poor ports, mediocre food, and terrible disembark gives it a three. On deck, Guys burgers and burrito bar are good. Read Less

Bottom line of this review: You get what you pay for and WASH YOUR HANDS. This was my third cruise with Carnival, with my other two sailings on Miracle. I've never cruised with anyone else. My partner and I chose this cruise because we wanted a quick getaway and couldn't commit to a 7 or 10-day sailing. We understood Liberty was not one of the newer ships, and amenities/cabins may be outdated, and that the entertainment may not be Broadway-worthy. Embarkation was a breeze - even for being Spring Break season! It seemed like it took us less than 20 minutes to get on board. All Carnival staff were kind and helpful during this process. The only thing we wish we would have remembered was to tip the gentlemen that help with your luggage before you embark, even if it's just a dollar or two. Definitely choose the Balcony cabin. Totally worth it. Our stateroom steward was fabulous! The room itself is nothing to write home about - clearly outdated. To me, all dining was mediocre and got old quickly. Guy's Burger Joint was delicious. The best entrees were the prime rib and the leg of lamb with curry sauce. I ordered the surf n' turf dinner the last night.... very underwhelming and not worth it. My steak was sirloin and not filet mignon. I cannot comment about the bar service as we maybe had three drinks the whole time. We purchased the Bottomless Bubbles package and would recommend it if you like sodas/juices. The cocktails we had were definitely strong. The entertainment was fun and lively, but not 5-star. The "Flick" production was a little awkward but the singing/dancing was great. Our cruise director, NoNo, is fabulous and will always keep you entertained! The comedy acts were excellent. Everyone showed up for the deck parties and had a fantastic time. The service was absolutely wonderful. Every staff member smiled, waived and said "Good morning/good evening" when you walked by. Always greeted with a smile. One of the highlights of the sailing, by far. The day at sea was a little underwhelming. We mostly stayed in the Serenity area which was wonderful. The cabanas were awesome and very private! I've been to Nassau before - it's a beautiful and fun port, but make sure to have something to do. We didn't have anything planned and decided to wing it... a little bit of a mistake on our part. We went to the nearby Tiki Bikini beach hut - lots of college kids there so be warned. $30 for two chairs, an umbrella and free WiFi for the day. If you do this, don't leave your beach chairs unattended for too long. They forgot we purchased the chairs earlier in the morning and accused us of not paying. Freeport was really run-down, but the weather was beautiful and our excursion was lovely. We did the private beach and open bar package through Carnival. If you go with this excursion, do yourself a favor and purchase the buffet as well - it looked delicious and we really wanted to try it! The beach was gorgeous and the staff was super friendly. The buses were not very well-organized but we got back just fine. The bus driver also gave us a very informative tour on the way there which we loved. Now on to the absolute worst part of the cruise, which might change my mentality about cruises (and Carnival) forever. My partner and I both contracted norovirus or food poisoning while aboard... so ALWAYS wash/sanitize your hands and be careful with what you eat! We most likely got this from lettuce, fruit or any other uncooked food. I spent the last evening on board (which happened to be the roughest water) exploding from both ends for HOURS. One of the worst nights of my life, and made traveling the next day absolutely dreadful. I would cruise Carnival again, but not for a while. Might try Royal Caribbean, Holland America or Celebrity next time. Most are owned by Carnival, but whatever. The last night on board just put a bad taste in my mouth... literally and figuratively. We chose this cruise because the port was close to home and we wanted just a short little long weekend trip. We have cruised before with Carnival, but first time on this ship. We had all levels of cruisers from first timers to platinum cruisers. Getting on the ship was excellent. No complaints, but that's the only positive! Could not get drinks at the bar, completely overlooked several times. The food in the main dining room was HORRIBLE! The first night I ordered the flank steak, which wasn't flank steak. and it tasted straight up like chemicals! a mixture of lighter fluid and charcoal is what it tasted like. straight TERRIBLE! And the service was super slow!!! 2 1/2 hour dinner? Nowhere to get to, but too long to wait for dinner. Comedian, some guy on the 3rd night, TERRIBLE! all his jokes bombed. Can't even remember his name. Service on the rest of the boat was mediocre at best. Not as friendly as some of the other cruises I've been on. DeEmbarkment was a NIGHTMARE! 3 hours to get off the boat! HORRIBLE! I would recommend that they take this boat offline for a week or two and give the staff some time to regroup and figure out their lives before cruising out again! Read Less

My husband and I needed to get away for a few days to totally unwind and we did just that. Now just so you know this was our 32 cruise and this was our 6th Carnival cruise and majority have been with RRCL. What does anyone really expect to get for three days? We expect a clean room #1, ice bucket kept full, room steward to provide us with clean towels and good food. Our room was clean but never to my standard so I Clorox everything that's a solid surface and fabreeze all materials - now I know it's halfway clean. Room steward asked when we preferred to have him to service our room and we opted for mornings - choice was morning or afternoon. A little strange for us as we are accustomed to twice per day. First day it's now 2pm and room is still the same as we left it. We saw steward and he asked if he could clean our room and we asked for just clean towels seeing it was so late and we had stayed away thinking he would clean the room "in the morning". We rarely saw him for the rest of our cruise. We would get our own ice and kept the room pretty clean and he would bring clean towels sometime during the evening when we were out. Food - 1st night we ate at the Diamonds steakhouse and my surf and turf was excellent, but my husbands prone rib not so much. Should have been better seeing that we paid for this meal. Other meals were in the cafeteria and it was horrible - not many choices here and the same food day in and day out and they would serve you the food I guess cost more like bacon.....weird. Tables weren't cleared off and half the time we never saw workers at all. I felt that we were to totally take care of all our needs everywhere on this ship. Staff never made it a point to say hello and ask if we needed anything as if to avoid having to do anymore than needed. Food wasn't good but we didn't starve either. Shows were ok,but the one thing that was above and beyond our expectations was the cruise director Nono she was fantastic in engaging with everyone especially after the shows in the Atrium I think it was called Flowers we had a fantastic evening on the last night - thanks Nono!! We had a balcony and it was filthy of course a good wash down was needed and you couldn't even see out of the windows when you sat in the chairs. My husband cleaned them with soap and water which was much better. Neighbors above us, left and right were loud and fowl mouthed - could have done without! You pay extra for a balcony so clean it up people....bottom line I really felt like we weren't on a cruise that service was a priority from the staffing. What a shame! Again three days what should you expect? Service wasn't anything to write home about, cleanliness overall the public areas were clean but lacked in our stateroom/balcony. Food - nothing special at all. Would I do this one again.... NOPE! I would not. I'll pay extra to be on RRCL. Read Less

We called ourselves "Chicks On the Run" and a group of girlfriends decided to take a three day cruise and have fun, play cards and enjoy music and laughter and girl company. Boy were we in for a negative surprise!! We chose the line and ship so that we did not have to drive eight plus hours to south Florida. First the room attendant only gave us one small bar of soap for two guests. Towels were gray and rough and even though we asked for extra towels we never received them nor did we ever get a bucket of ice in our room. Dirty glass was left for us to clean??? . Cabin was kept clean, however the vinyl couch left much to be desired and one would never want to sit on it! Dining room staff gave us terrible service; so bad that we complained at Guest Services. Wine was brought to the table after we had finished most of our meal and the table was still filled with dirty dishes while the the waiter was serving us our dessert. Steak was tough, prime rib was tough and they do not know what au jus is. We received gloppy beef gravy for the prime rib. Breakfast was not much better in the dining room, as you had to ask for every little thing, including jam, butter and little pastries, just to name a few. Lunch at the buffet was good. Guy Fierrri's burgers were the best and the line to get a burger proved it. The Mongolian Wok station was also very good, however long, long lines to have your selections cooked. Dirty floors all around the ship, lack of help all over the ship was quite obvious. Do not get the "Drink Package" as you will never get the service to order the drink and if you do, you will not receive it, way within an hour! Daylight savings time and the ships clocks were never corrected, so we got our wakeup call an hour late! Public bathrooms were nasty. Needed a luggage tag for disembarkation, go get it yourself! I am still waiting for credit for my beverage package that I was told would be credited to my account!! The best part of the cruise was being with friends! Carnival was to give us a "Cocktail Party with dry snacks and drinks. It turned out to be drinks we really did not want and not even a cracker was to be found! Desserts were good. So I guess the saying "Let Them eat cake" is the way Carnival thinks!!! Smoke was terrible wherever you walked on the public areas of the ship. Felt bad for the staff that had to inhale all the second hand smoke around them. I have sailed over 25+ cruises, including Carnival and I have never been on a ship as bad as this. Read Less

NASSAU is ok if u have never been there. JUNKOO beach is just a walk out of town. Lounge chair and food vendors for minimal charge. Nice clean beach. Food vendors selling food. Freeport is to short. Love the enclosed pool for the first day. Depending on the weather u can use the second pool which is outside. Nighttime movie under the stars is nice. Cabins are clean and the staff take care of u. The last day they put towel animals all around the pool. Really cute. They do St Jude donations with either tshirts or bears. Will be doing this cruise again as the port is ok n li u 2hrs drive. I chose this cruise because I live in MD and it was easy to get to port. Took my mother for a girls trip to relax and get away from the snow. The ship just had its upgrade to add Guys Burgers etc. The food was good in the dinning room, great in the steakhouse, and average in the buffet. Service was great, we loved our serving team in the main dinning room (Gabriel, Eko, and Braz). I recommend them if you have the My Time Dinning. The ship was clean and all staff was very nice. If you are looking for a trip with teens or pre-teens I suggest a newer ship. The Pride is limited for activities (unlike the Horizon and Sunshine). They have the normal stuff; pools, water slides, ping pong, basket ball etc but thats about it. For us it was great for relaxing on the lido deck and Serenity area. Shows are great, comedians were great (my face hurt i was laughing so much). Over all a good ship. Oh and Dr E is awesome. Read Less

After sailing on the Pride last March and having a great time we decided to do it again. We had Faster to the Fun and after arriving around 12 we were having a Guy Fieri burger which were great around 12:30. Smooth and easy embarkation. After a quick walk around the ship, we ended up in the Red Frog Pub having our first cocktail of the cruise ( a fish bowl that was a half price special...great deal). We then went up to our cabin where we met our steward Dewa who was just awesome all week. At our Early time Dinner we met our waiter Luis and his helpers Ronald and Joever. Just excellent all week. Food was great all week and any request we had was accommodated with no problem and a smile. The atmosphere in the dining room is festive and fun led by the Maitre D. There are activities all day and night on the ship from Trivia contests to live entertainment, if you are bored on this ship you just aren’t trying to have fun. Highly recommend the Piano Bar, it seems to be a hidden gem that is really a lot of fun along with the comedy club where we found both the PG show and Adult show to be equally funny. After 2 sea days, our first port of call was the beautiful Princess Cay. A great beach day with loungers and lunch provided. Just a perfect relaxing day in the sun. Just a tip the earlier you get out there the better spot on the beach you will get but with the plentiful loungers on the beach I didn’t see anyone that wasn’t able to get a spot. Port of Call #2 was Nassau where we booked a See and Sea excursion through Carnival. Very fun day that started with a tour bus ride to do a little shopping and sightseeing followed by a boatride that took a group of 10 of us out on a tour of the shoreline to see the homes of several celebrities and fill us in on all the local Nassau information that was very interesting to learn. After that we switched over to another boat that had a bottom compartment with windows and seats where you could view the sea life in its natural habitat. From Sharks to Sea Turtles we saw it all. Lots of fun and the tour guides were fun and very informative. Port of call #3 was Freeport, we didn’t book anything here but did go off to do some last minute shopping. The people were very nice and picked up a few things but in the future probably would do an excursion here because it really is more of an industrial area with not much around. The trip back to Baltimore was uneventful and again they offer a bevy of activities and shows to keep you busy. The only complaint I would have would be that the casino area seems to have a hard time filtering out the smoke from the smokers there. It can be really overbearing at times. In conclusion, the debarkation was handled swiftly and orderly like a fine tuned machine. Having Faster to the Fun doesn’t hurt either. It really does make things easier for you. Overall another great cruise on the Pride Read Less

I will definitely recommend this cruise to anyone asking for a cruise. Read Less
