We sailed on another Celebrity ship in December and couldn't believe the marked difference in Infinity. Infinity is outdated and desperately needs a refresh. We ate in every restaurant and the steaks and tuna were always overcooked, despite ordering rare (except for Sushi on 5). On our prior trip, the specialty restaurants and servers were amazing and well worth the surcharge. We wasted so much money on poor service and subpar food. It was extremely disappointing. Luminae was great but the others were need some fine tuning. We were definitely disappointed. The entertainment wasn't anywhere close to the Equinox either. The rooms were outdated and need a refresh in a bad way. I feel as though we wasted a ton of money on this cruise. Tuscan Grille was terrible too. The fried calamari was cold and the server actually said, "oh, you want it hot?". It was crazy sad and by then we'd just given up. So disappointing. Read Less

Cons: Overall, our room was clean but outdated. Spent nearly $850/person to sleep in a windowless room. WiFi was horribly expensive and slow (couldn’t even upload photos on instagram). Our TV was constantly flickering in and out. We were hassled to buy drink packages. Once bought, we could hardly get any service. And also not many options on the lower priced drink package (almost $400 for the lowest option). Also there is hardly anything to do on the ship during sea days. Pros: The food was okay and the crew was very friendly. Musicals were good. Lots of Talented entertainment. Showers were surprisingly larger than expected. The excursion we took was awesome. Decent amount of storage in room. This is not a bad cruise ship, but so not worth the money we paid. After talking to other people and their experiences, our next cruise will probably be with Royal Caribbean. Read Less

We picked this cruise because we were celebrating my birthday and it embarked on that day. It was on my bucket list. We stayed in Ft Lauderdale previous to the cruise and enjoyed the warm weather as we are from Pennsylvania. We researched a lot online and on you tube as to all of the rules, documentation, and cruise tips. So we were prepared for lines, waits, crowds, and frustration. We were travelling as a group of 4 adults. We boarded the ship really fast! We arrived when we were supposed to and the process was so fast we never stood still for more than 5 minutes! This was the case getting on/off @ ports and at disembarkation day. Everything went smoothly, our cabin was ready on time. Our luggage arrived without a hitch. All of our reservations were correct, The ship was beautiful. We loved the food, and service. Bars got busy and you had to wait for a drink. I am not sure I always got premium level wines/cocktails @ the bars as I had paid for the package. The activities were entertaining, like karaoke, trivia, and other type games. We enjoyed the great places to enjoy cocktails away from the loud and crowded pool area. We like the pool but did not find it as relaxing as other places on the ship. My favorite bar was the Sunset Bar at the back of the ship, live music gave it a great vibe there. We did go dancing several nights and had a great time. The silent disco is hilarious and fun, must check it out. It was 2 x on our short cruise. We enjoyed the Trolley Tour in Key West. It had rained and when we left the ship we were given unclear directions to find the trolley which made for a rough start as we got lost in the rain. Nassau was just shopping and pressure to buy, but we expected that. Maybe an excursion would have been a better call. But we returned to the ship early and enjoyed the ship. Overall this was the perfect size ship and amount of time to get a good idea if you like cruising. The ship was not too big and we found our way around. There was plenty for us to do and eat and drink. I did feel like I had fun and did relax. We have booked again with Celebrity for a longer itinerary because this cruise went so fast. I wished I had 3 more days to relax more and do everything I wanted. . Read Less

We have cruised many times with Celebrity and this ship has been our least favorite. Nothing special, no wow factor. Food was just ok. Entertainment however, was very good with the exception of lounges it was not. We found there was not much to do around the ship during sea days that had our interest. Dinner at the Tuscan Grill was very good but not as good as I thought it would be. For our excursion in Cozumel,we did Salsa, Salsa Margaritas. It was so much fun. You learned how to make 6 different salsas, which we made ourselves. Learned how to make the perfect margarita and drank plenty of them. After which we learned to salsa. Great experience. In Key West, it poured most of the day which put a damper of things. Still had an enjoyable time. Just might have to visit again and hope the weather cooperates. Read Less

We scheduled a charter music trip and the charter company is using the Infinity for the entertainment spaces available. I can understand that. We have sailed on Windstar, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. This ship by far had the worst food selection and service of any. The Trellis dining room served several meals that were basically inedible. I was served the wrong steak at one meal and the server disappeared immediately without checking food quality. My wife had a steak and called it “old meat” that should have not been selected. My chicken was dry and tasteless. Some of the food came out so quickly that we knew they were under a warmer for awhile. A few meals were good. The ship is dated and sorely in need of refurb which is supposed to happen late in 2020. The carpets are worn but at least the pool areas seem to be nicely kept. The indoor pool is a nice touch. Our cabin (7081) was OK, but we noticed some of the bed linens were dirty and there were loose tiles in the shower. The cabin attendant said they could not fix the tile because it took 6 hours to set. We offered to work with them but to no avail. We are booking the same room next year and I bet the tiles will still be loose! If it weren’t for the charter company using this boat, I’d probably not sail on Celebrity again just due to the food quality and poor dining room service. Read Less

We picked this cruise because we were able to get a ridiculously great rate on a concierge cabin and had never been on Celebrity before. The original date was suppose to be in Feb. but we were notified that the ship had been charted and was given an option to book a different date with our OBC being doubled. Getting on the ship was very quick and effortless. We were able to eat in the MDR for lunch away from the crowds which was nice. They had a limited selection of food but I loved the short ribs I ordered. Cabins weren't available until 1:30pm so we hung out with our friends who had the non connecting cabin next to us up by the pool. We had cabin 8167...not bad but a bit dated. Would of loved if the balcony divider opened because we would have had a good size balcony between our cabin and our friends cabin. The only real issue we had was that the bed was firm, ah real firm. I knew before hand that the ship was old but was pleasantly surprised that it was in good shape. My wife also liked that the ship was on the small size making it easy getting around. The inside layout of the ship was crazy in some ways. We were in the aft and if we used the aft elevators we had to cut through buffet area to get to the pool deck. Not a big deal just different. Entertainment was fine. Not much in the way of variety but went on this cruise to just relax so it didn't matter. I did find the silent disco to be a lot of fun. We found the MDR to be pretty good and seated promptly. Our waiter never rushed us but we were usually in and out in about an hour and fifteen minutes. We did eat dinner one night in the Oceanview Cafe. It was surprising that no one other than the crew and us were eating their. It wasn't bad and we liked eating outside at the aft of the ship. We also did Le Petit Chef the last night. I waited hoping that the price would come down but they must of had a full dining room for each seating. The food was awesome. I like the show but wouldn't go again unless they changed it up with a different menu. Cozumel- Been here a bunch but read that their was going to be 27000 people there the day we docked. I found a place called Nachi Cocum that only allows 130 people in their resort. It was nice, all-inclusive resort with a large pool, restaurant and changing rooms. The place was nice but I was underwhelmed by the service they provided. Still we had a beautiful day and were away from the crowds. Key West-Been here a bunch and only went into town to have a couple of drinks on Duval street, Never boring there. The bonus of going there the day before you depart is that you go through customs on the ship which meant getting off easy and quick. This was our first time on Celebrity and liked it but preferred her sister line Royal Caribbean. Would I sail on Celebrity...sure but probably on one of their newer ships. Read Less

Just finished up a 5 night on the Infinity with a business group and was very satisfied with the experience. While (as some have previously said) the Infinity is at the end of her current life and showing some age, she is still a beautiful ship and the crew does a very good job of maintaining/hiding her flaws. Overall, the service on this ship is excellent - from the dining room to the bars to the activity staff. Very clean throughout. For a smaller ship, there are plenty of places to grab a drink, chair, or just a bit of rail. Food was more than adequate overall and at times was phenomenal. Itinerary is just-about-right in length, and the ports of call (Cozumel/KW) are a nice mix of activities. The crew is very obviously passenger-satisfaction-focused and while there is always an outlier or two, we as a group couldn't have been happier. Read Less

My husband and I, along with 7 other couples booked this trip last minute to enjoy a "boat ride" basically - we really had no desire to see Cozumel or Key West again, but loved 2 sea days on a 5 day journey and we love using the ship. Unfortunately The Infinity needs refurbished NOW. I will start by saying - the staff made our journey exceptional, thankfully! Or we would have been bummed for 5 days straight. Upon arrival ( we all booked royal suites, as well as both the presidential suites and the family larger rooms in the rear of the ship. Getting on board as a suite guest was very easy and no issue - upon arrival we had lunch at Luminea which was fantastic. Then we got to our room. ( now I am the person that takes lysol wipes and cleans everything in the room upon arrival! ) but the Royal Suite was run down - cabinets scratched and marked up, mirrors dirty, the balcony rough and furniture showing rips in fabrics, etc - floor was very dirty. Hot Tub on balcony was filthy - Bathroom seemed pretty clean! The main issue was NO privacy on a Royal Suite balcony - they extend out midship and the show ship can watch you - we were pretty upset about this to be honest. How can you use your hot tub without flashing the guests? Learned a lesson to always ask to look at your room first which one of the managers said you can request in the future! Good to know! Our butler was so accommodating and friendly - always answered our call quick - and the manager and staff at Luminae ( suite dining room ) were just exceptional. Also the manager Wim at Michaels Lounge was over the top nice and helpful. The spa? Well... it's a joke. Don't do the Persian Garden - it's now what you see in the brochure on the solstice classes - we did not tour the spa prior buying ( you should always do this I have learned ) The massages were very good though - and hair salon. Just not a really nice spa area to relax. We are use to Neptune Suites on Holland America - and they had more suite amenities in my opinion. Like a Bose speaker that is wireless to play music - as well as coffee makers in room, The refrigerator in our room never got drinks cold - and the TV's were worn out - and no selection of shows or movies to watch - HA has Planet Earth and Netflix style series which made our other journeys fun when we wanted to settle in early for the night - or a rainy afternoon. The Michaels Lounge is located so far from the suites which If felt odd too. Not the end of the world...but just a note, HA Neptune Lounge is located on a floor with actual suites - so you could easily grab your coffee in the mornings - Just a note too = even our friends with the presidential suites had poor working hot tubs, etc - but in general these rooms were very nice and being in the rear was great to lay out , etc also had privacy ! We would have wine/ appetizers brought to their balconies and hosted our own cocktail hours which was fun. Other silly things that irked me ... no beach towels waiting for you in room ( had to always ask ) and always had to ask for toiletries. The shopping on the ship was not good - no real variety or interesting stores - But the entertainment on the ship was over the top - and the music midship was always hopping and upbeat - Martini Bar always the fun hang out - The Deck 12 retreat area was very nice too. One other strange thing that I felt tacky - the art in the stairwell niches were cheesy - tiny and not impressive. They could fix this easy. The casino was hopping and had great staff - The pool area though - thasotherapy pool was dirty and water features not working, etc The Captains lunch and bridge tour for suite guests was very nice - and I got to speak with the guest relations director, which really gave me great advice for future cruises and info. The staff on this ship is just spectacular - it made our trip.... and will convince me to look at another journey with Celebrity - just on a cleaner newer ship next time - fingers crossed the staff is same on all ships!! We were on the Infinity from the 5th to the 10th. The ship is showing her age, but is a really great ship. The crew were incredible, so friendly and helpful. This cruise just reinforces why Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. Our room was a midship balcony, it was quiet peaceful and had that luxurious view that is so great. They had 2 comedians and both were really funny and appropriate for all ages. We didn't see the shows but I heard they were great. For the first time ever I walked out of the Casino with more money that I went in with. The drinks were plentiful and we never waited long to get them. The bartenders were always very accommodating and friendly. Getting on the ship took no more than 30 minutes, and getting off of the ship took even less time. Celebrity has this down to a science. My childhood friend and I did a January five day cruise on Celebrity Infinity and were very disappointed. I have been on four Celebrity cruises, and this was my friend’s first on X. First the good...We were in a Concierge cabin on Deck 8, and it was in a very good location. The entertainment was great. Our one meal in Tuscan Grille was exceptional in every way. Now the bad...Our best meals in the main dining room were mediocre, and a couple were barely acceptable. The pool experience was terrible. We tried both sea days mid-morning to find a lounger by the pool, but were unable to. We tried to eat one lunch at the grill by the pool, but there were no tables and chairs. There are far too many passengers than there are spaces for them in the pool area. It’s no secret that people get to the pool in the very early mornings to reserve pool loungers, even though they may only spend an hour there. That should not be allowed and should be monitored by the pool personnel. There was a damp feeling all over the ship. We met two couples who had water leaking from their ceiling and getting into their carpet in their cabins. I am allergic to mold, and my asthma flared up about half the trip. The ship is run down and is in dire need of some TLC. I have cruised on five different cruise lines, and this was, by far, the worst. We have always had great experiences on Celebrity, but we might try another cruise line next time. Read Less
