This was the second half of our first back to back. We love to sail, snorkel and swim in the Caribbean waters, so this cruise was perfect for us as we loved all the ports. We did mostly private excursions as we prefer small groups. The sky suite corner aft is our favorite location...love the view. Crew from stateroom attendant to Luminae staff did everything to pamper us. Our cabin was kept spotless. Our butler was one of the best ever. Dinner and wine selections were very nice. Our only complaint was that the music was so loud that you couldn’t carry on a conversation in the bars. An after dinner drink with friends became a challenge. In the theater, singers sounded like they were screeching...much too loud for us. Overall, though. the entertainment was varied and pretty good. Embarkation and disembarkation was quick and smooth. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with both old and new friends, and plan on doing it all over again next year! Read Less

Wh chose to spend our 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise because of some mobility issues we have experienced. We wanted to have unencumbered access to dining and entertainment venues. The Silhouette exceeded all expectations. All staff and fellow passengers went above and beyond in accommodation our mobility issues. These issues weighed heavily prior to our trip. Embarkation went smoothly, accessible sky suite was meticulous, thank you Mario, Luminae-outstanding meals and service, Franko, Eka, Zenia, and Djan. The butler and the concierge service was extraordinary, Irena and Vanessa Kept us fully abreast of the ship’s activities and Mario was always there to open the cabin door for us. We ate in Murano and Tuscan Grille twice and the Lawn Club once. Three fabulous stops! Most of our meals were in Luminae which afforded us premier service and gastronomic excellence. Michael’s Club had Vannessa and Albert, a winning duo to make you feel at home. The Casino dealers: Anna, Gladys, Valentina, Dragos, Igor and all the servers were terrifIc. The entertainment, activities, games, shopping, and karaoke were all great fun. This was our 6th cruise, first time on Celebrity and it keeps getting better. We booked a 12 night for our next cruise on the Equinox. Read Less

I had a group of 35 with some people with special dietary needs. I am vegan and the choices were very disappointing . Although my waiter was wonderful and tried very hard to find good dishes he didn't cook the meals. Twice they were so spicy I couldn't eat them. For most of the weeks I ate sweet potatoes and some wonderful vegetables that he brought every night. I have had far better experiences on RCL and P&O. One of the other has celiac and is diabetic also very disappointed in the choice. There are so many with food issues that we both expected much better choices We all enjoyed the cruise but definitely missed the Schooner Bar and felt it lacked nightlife I have a wonderful group coordinator and the head of excursions arranged a wonderful tour of Bonaire. I also missed my virgin Mango Tango I tried to order many times. It was never the same as I had on numerous RCL cruises Read Less

Just returned from a 9 night Southern Caribbean cruise and experienced something I have never seen on a Celebrity cruise before. For some reason, some fellow passengers felt “entitled” to reserve 4-8 sun loungers while other guest went without. Silhouette officers were approached over this issue and either ignored the situation or failed to take corrective action that is common practice on other ships. Maybe it was the large amount of groups on this cruise, but the fact of the matter is the 30 min policy has to be policed and enforced. Other than that, it was a nice cruise with an excellent itinerary. However, Silhouette is starting to show its age and seriously needs an upgrade which I understand will occur in 2020. On a positive note, the food in the buffet and main dining room was excellent and so was the entertainment on this cruise. Overall, a good cruise but Celebrity needs to sort out the pool deck issues as some guests were so upset they decided not rebook with Celebrity. Read Less

Couple in mid sixties with 17 cruises under our belts. We were looking for some warm weather and sun. Ship and room was beautiful. Food was very good and great dinning room service. Arrived at Everglades cruise port around 10:30 wand wad on ship by 10:45. Room was ready by 1 pm. Great aft balcony on deck 8. Quietest room we ever had. Great room attendant in Reynoldo . Food was great in main dining room with good service. Ocean View was nice except on sea days and it was packed, and kept running out of plates. Entertainment shows were good, especially the brought in enteraners. Saw a rock group Billy McGuigan rock band. This was the best performance we ever saw on a cruise, The house shows were so so in my opinion, wife liked them more than I did, There last show looked like they picked out costumes at Walmart One bad thing about the entertainment was late night shows, Ship was dead. !!!!!! We stayed onboard for a second cruise on the Silhouette. See our review of the Feb 10, 2019 cruise that we posted. Most of what we commented on there applied. It was the very first time we've been on back-to-back cruises. We liked the fact that the itinerary was completely different, and there was no overlap of ports of call. Being a shorter cruise (9 days compared to 12 on the first cruise) the demographic was somewhat different. But what was disappointing was that the entertainment was mostly a repeat of what we had on the first cruise with 2 exceptions. So, there were nights we went either to see a movie, or do something else, rather than see the shows -- which weren't great and too loud anyways. We stayed in the same cabin, and had the same great cabin steward. But we were a group of 8, rather than 10, so they changed our table, which was located in a somewhat partly-crowded spot. We had a competent, but not involved wait team: Gilmon and Jayare Again, our Assistant maître d', Olga, continued to provide us with exceptional care and kosher meat dinners. While we're scheduled for two back-to-back cruises on the Silhouette for next year (after it is refurbished in drydock) the two itineraries are now practically identical (they weren't when we made the bookings in Feb 2018) so we might not end up taking both those cruises in 2020. We went to the Lawn Club specialty restaurant three times. The menu and food are excellent, as is the atmosphere up on the top deck. We had not done this on previous cruises thinking you helped grill the meat. That's an option but one few people choose. We went to the La Petit Chef specialty also, and food was good, but consider it a one-time thing to watch the visual graphics show. The food and service in the dining room is good. We do Conicerge class and Taryn the concierge on our ship was excellent to help with questions or minor issues. We akways choose Celebrity, having done over 20 cruises with them. We love their ships and being warm in the Caribbean. We are not big fans of the production shows as we think they are aimed at a younger audience than is on the ship. But there were excellent comedias and singers and Hard Day's Night Beatles group is very good and fun. Already looking forward to next year on Celebrity. Read Less

We had a great cruise from embarkation tto disembarkation. We were in a veranda room on Deck 6 that was close to the iLounge & the elevators on the Starboard side. We are early risers and early to bed people and were able to sleep well without outside noise. Our room attendant was excellent. When we returned to the room each day, it had been made up. Even though we rehung our towels on the racks, he switched them out with new ones. He even provided a few flowers in a bud vase early in the cruise. Our dining room staff was great, although the assistant waiter was not very visible. It seemed thatt the main server did all the work. Even in that case, her service was great. The food in the main dining room was good for every meal. We especially enjoyed the bread each evening. We tried the Lawn Club & Sushi on 5 for lunch. We really enjoyed the sushi, but the Lawn Club Grill was just okay. I doubt that we'd try them again. We had breakfast in the main dining room everyday. We had lunch in the main dining room once and we did not really enjoy it at all. We took advantage of our Elite status & went to the Persian Garden on Sunday while the shp was in port in Grand Cayman. It was very relaxing. If we ever book in a suite, I'll definately take advantage of it more often. Overall, it was a great cruise & I can't wait to go again! Read Less

We chose this cruise for the time of year and because we had never been to the ABC islands before or on the Silhouette before either. She’s a beautiful ship with a wonderful crew. Very friendly and gracious. Wonderful experience in the MDR, with very good food and service from Randy and Khorizan. Murano was excellent as always and the Lawnclub Grill was great also. We were disappointed in the service at Tuscan Grill, the waiter was fine but the sommelier was invisible till the end of the night when we were already finished. Our cabin being aft, way aft, was a hike to get to and helped burn some of the extra calories consumed on the cruise ;/ It was kept immaculate by our attendant Damellia, who also greeted us with a friendly greeting and big smile both morning and evening. We didn’t go to the ship run shows at night, but the ones brought on were very good to great! Loved Billy McGuiggan! Would definitely love to go again! Read Less

The staff overall are fantastic, as usual not all can be great. The Martini bar staff were an amazing group. The Mast bar staff of men were by far the worst, so just avoid that bar and have a great vacation. The pools are small but we were rarely in them. Most bars were nice, yet we did not hit them all. Food in main dining area was top shelf, were the main buffet area had lots of good food with some average mixed in. There was definitely plenty to choose from. The indian food in the buffet was great. The entertainment crew put on a great dance routine near the end of the trip, my wife being a former dancer was thrilled and moved to tears. Being our first cruise we did not spend much time in the theatre. The casino was a hit with our group, a number of us came home winners. Read Less
